He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Robert Spencer Hampton. He is survived by: his child Wood; his wife Carolyn Gilliam Styons; his children, Raymond Earl "Trey" Styons III (Caroline), Lindsay Styons Harris (Rodney) and Sarah Grace Styons Johnson (Dylan); his stepdaughters, Haley and Kelsey Mosley; his grandchildren, Kyle, Raegan Harris and Graham Styons; his parents, Raymond Earl Styons Sr. and Carlene Styons (Rosalie Brown Styons); and his sister Lisa Styons Harrell (Walter).

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Greenville Little League and the Pitt County Girls Softball League. Donations for GLL can be made payable to Greenville Little Leagues, PO Box 4263, Greenville, NC 27836.

“Trey and family, Rusty Neal official scorer College of Charleston. My wife Terri (Time Out Coordinator) and I are heartbroken to hear this awful news. Raymie was genuinely a good man. He didn’t have to try to be one! Every time I walked into TD Arena and saw his name on the game time sheet, I smiled and told Terri we in good hands that night. Awesome guy, awesome official!! He will be sorely missed in Charleston, SC!! GOD BLESS”
