He is survived by: his brother Mark Hassell Smith, Jr.; his daughter Deborah Anne Smith (Christopher Morris); his grandchildren, Kelly Suzanne Morris and Christopher Edgar Morris, Jr.; his stepdaughter Jillianne Leigh Allison; and his stepgrandchildren, John Wesley Hall and Diana Hope Hall.
