It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Stallings Glisson of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayland Stallings and Goldie Stallings; her husband William Calvin Glisson; and her sister Shirley Davenport. She is survived by: her children, Susie Hunt of Jamestown, Janie Taylor (Ed) of Jamestown, Cal Glisson (Mayra) of Yucaipa, CA and Mitchell Glisson of Greenville; her grandchildren, Amanda Shepard, Jennifer Wyatt, Stephanie Freeman, Jessica Cappel, Shannon Byrd, Nathan Taylor, Andrew Glisson, Alex Glisson, Jose Ruiz, Lemuel Ruiz and Brianna Glisson; and her sisters, Peggy Bell (Bennie) and Barbara Gurganus. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Wilkerson Funeral Home & Crematory - Greenville (2100 E 5th St, Greenville, NC 27858). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
