He was predeceased by: his former wife Mildred Mills Dixon; his daughter Donna Dixon Hammond; his son-in-law Dr. J. T. Hammond; and his brothers, Elmer, Levi and J. D. Dixon.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Dunlowe Dixon; his children, Sylvia Dixon White (Mike) of Black Jack and Mack V. Dixon, Jr. (Elaine) of Black Jack; his stepchildren, Carlton Gary Perry, Jr. (Linda), Tammy Fleming (David), Jerry Perry and Debbie Jackson; and his grandchildren, Mark (Gaynor), Tara, Jaime (Charles), Ivan (Bridgette), Justin, Leslie (Jason), Amy (Dickie), Jonathan (Lauren), Ashley, Riley, April and Brynna. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and 18 step-great-grandchildren.
