With solemn reverence, we commemorate Mack Vernon Dixon Sr. of Vanceboro, North Carolina, whose life came to an end on October 15, 2024 at the age of 95, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Mildred Mills Dixon; his daughter Donna Dixon Hammond; his son-in-law Dr. J. T. Hammond; and his brothers, Elmer, Levi and J. D. Dixon.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Dunlowe Dixon; his children, Sylvia Dixon White (Mike) of Black Jack and Mack V. Dixon, Jr. (Elaine) of Black Jack; his stepchildren, Carlton Gary Perry, Jr. (Linda), Tammy Fleming (David), Jerry Perry and Debbie Jackson; and his grandchildren, Mark (Gaynor), Tara, Jaime (Charles), Ivan (Bridgette), Justin, Leslie (Jason), Amy (Dickie), Jonathan (Lauren), Ashley, Riley, April and Brynna. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and 18 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:50 PM at the Pinewood Memorial Park (4150 E 10th St, Greenville, NC 27858). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Black Jack Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 2581 Black Jack-Grimesland Rd., Greenville, NC 27858.
