It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lou Avery Tugwell of Vanceboro, North Carolina, born in Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Loftin Avery of Greenville and Hoover Avery; and her in-laws, Milton and Pauline Tugwell of Farmville. She is survived by: her husband Rod Tugwell of Greenville; her daughter Traci; her son-in-law Stephen Bevevino; her grandchildren, Ava and Ashton; her daughter Robin; her son-in-law Matt Harrell; her grandchildren, Hope and Triston of Lakewood Ranch, FL; her siblings, Terri Avery of Wilmington, NC, Alan Avery, Michael Newton of Atlanta, GA and Jeff; her sister-in-law Joann Tugwell of Wake Forest, NC; and her nieces and nephews, Morgan Jernigan, Tyler McLawhon of Greenville, NC, Matt and John Tugwell of Wake Forest, NC.. She is also survived by married to the love of her life for 52 years and adored her two daughters and four grandchildren.
