With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Tucker Fornes Sr. of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on December 2, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Fornes and Lillian Fornes (Betty Dixon Fornes); and his brothers, Loyd Jr. and Bobby Fornes. He is survived by: his children, Joe Fornes, Jr. (Lynne) of Greenville, NC and Monica Allen (Jeff) of Pensacola, FL.; his grandchildren, Brad Fornes (Cheryl), Matthew Fornes (Holly), Brooke Park (Richard), Natalie Allen, Sidney Pidgeon (Zach) and Harrison Overby; his great grandchildren, Owen and Callen Park; his siblings, Jimmy Fornes (June), Raymond Fornes and Susan Garverick; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Fornes and Mary Frances Leggett.
