He was predeceased by: his brother John Dixon, Sr.; and his brother-in-law David Mills. He is survived by: his child Yosary Burgos (Jonathan) of Jacksonville, FL.; his grandchildren, Angelic Burgos, Ariana Burgos, Alanis Burgos and Callum Dixon; his sisters, Susan Dixon Mills and Rosiland "Possie" Dixon Buck (Danny); and his sister-in-law Tammie Dixon-Phillips of Vanceboro. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
