It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Michael O'Bryant of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on August 27, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas J. O'Bryant and Carrie Dennis O'Bryant; his son John Michael O'Bryant; and his siblings, Joe Thomas O'Bryant and Mary Ida O'Bryant Childers.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Stearsman O'Bryant; his children, Col. Timothy S. O'Bryant (Mo) of Stuttgart, Germany and Mary "Mimi" O'Bryant Ervin (Chad) of Missouri City, Texas; his grandchildren, Zoey Addison, Maxton John O'Bryant, Brooks Reid and Grady James Ervin; and his nieces and nephews, Jeffery, Jack O'Bryant, Susan Stelly and Jodi Vizzo.
