He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Riggs and Bettie Mae Baker Riggs; and his sister Shirley Smith. He is survived by: his wife Ann Riggs of Greenville; his sons, Greg Riggs (Angel) of Mesa, AZ, Marcus Riggs (Sherin) of Hampton, VA and Wesley Riggs (Michelle) of Kinston; his grandchildren, Caleb Riggs (Jennie) of Birmingham, AL, Natalie Riggs of Hampton, VA, Nathaniel Riggs of Hampton, VA, Ryan Riggs of Durham, Trista Riggs of Kinston and Little Wes of Kinston; his great grandchild Griffin Riggs; and his siblings, Gerald Riggs (Phyllis) of Greenville, Phyllis Williams of Greenville and Joanne Miller (Bill) of Greenville. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (2800 E 5th St, Greenville, NC 27858).
