With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hayes L. Austin Sr. of Vanceboro, North Carolina, born in Washington, North Carolina, who passed away on January 10, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Lola Sanderson; and his siblings, Shirley Potter and Bill Austin. He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Jean Austin; his sons, H. L. Austin, Jr. and Jeff Austin; and his granddaughter Kayleigh Austin of Greenville.
