It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick Taylor Mattox of Vanceboro, North Carolina, born in Wendell, North Carolina, who passed away on August 16, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Gray Mattox and Rachel May Taylor Mattox; and his wife Anne Keziah Mattox. He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Mary Mattox Daughtrey of Maryland; and his siblings, Alice Mattox Soles of Wilmington, NC and Benjamin Gray Mattox, Jr. of California. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
