She was predeceased by: her son Leon Samuel Brown, III; and her brothers, Edward, Jimmie and Melvin Hawkins. She is survived by: her husband Leon Samuel "Sam" Brown, Jr.; her daughter Marsha Kay Brown of Wilmington, NC; her grandsons, Samuel Glenn Brown (Michelle) and Kevin Carrington Brown (Kristin) of Greenville, NC; her great grandchildren, Jayden (Maci), Maleah, Caymin, Gareth, Carson, Cameron and Kinley Brown; and her sister Mary H. Cameron of Cary, NC..
