It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Cooley Jones of Vanceboro, North Carolina, born in Grifton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 1, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elton Cooley and Christine Cooley; and her sisters, Sandra Woods, Donna Shrader and Tina Jones.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Alexis; her husband Herman Jones; her children, Lisa Taylor (Donald) and Donald Jones (Sara Mercer); her grandsons, Joshua Taylor and Jacob Taylor; and her siblings, Patsy Cox and Robert Cooley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
