She was predeceased by: her parents, Sylvester Stocks and Bessie Smith Stocks; her husband Rev. Norman Butts; her daughter Wanda B. Masters; her son-in-law John Masters; and her siblings, Louise Saulter, Ruth Capozzi, James E. Stocks and J. D. Stocks.
She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Dupree (Dempsey) of Tarboro; her grandchildren, Dama Dupree McElderry and Christopher Byron Masters (Chelsey); and her great grandchildren, Annah Priyadi, Judah McElderry, Brennen Masters and Jules Masters. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
