He was predeceased by: his parents, Joab Tyson and Kathryn Lewis Tyson; his sons, Mitchal Tyson and Melvin Tyson; and his siblings, Joab "Buddy" Tyson, Jr., Henry Tyson, Danny Tyson, Myrna Rogers and Linda Cobb.
He is survived by: his wife Linda H. Tyson; his daughter Donna Greiner (Don) of Greenville; his stepsons, Malcolm Carmichael (Jackie) of Ayden and Chris Carmichael (Kay) of Ayden; his grandchildren, Dondi Greiner, Dustin Tyson, Kathryn Greiner, Robert Tyson and Daisy Tyson; his stepgrandchildren, Dylan Carmichael, Colby Carmichael, TJ Langley, Krystal Fields and Emily Langley; and his siblings, Johnny Tyson (Brenda) of Greenville, Van Tyson of Stantonsburg, James Tyson of Greenville, Angela Whichard of Henderson, NV and Rose Holloman of Walstonburg.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Farmer Funeral Service (109 Second St, Ayden, NC 28513). A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
