She was predeceased by: her parents, David Oscar and Annie Butler James; her husband Robert M. Strother; and her siblings, Rae James Martinette, Corrine James Detrick and Creighton Oscar James.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Scheetz Diehl (Ed) of Winterville, Shirley Scheetz Brown (Steve) of Shelby, NC and Dale Scheetz (Bernice) of Greenville; her grandsons, Max Diehl (Virginia), Daniel Diehl, Scott Brown and Michael Scheetz; and her great grandchildren, Carah Diehl, Madilyn Diehl, Olivia Diehl, Tegan Diehl, Caleb Brown, Lincoln Queen and Faith Scheetz. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
