It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda Whitehurst McLawhorn of Vanceboro, North Carolina, who passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Bobby Ray McLawhorn, Jr.; and her mother Maggie Leona Whitehurst. She is survived by: her children, Christy M. Pinkham (Larry) of Grimesland and Eddie McLawhorn (Crystal) of Grimesland; her sisters, Jackie Whitehurst (Ben) and Peggy Elks (Roy Lee); and her brother-in-law Perry Harper. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
