She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Gray and Hazel Gray; her brother Carlton "Bud" Gray; and her siblings-in-law, Duiguit Mills, Bud Sawyer, Betty Lou James and Sally King.
She is survived by: her husband William Sawyer (Mickey); her children, Lisa Garrett and Todd Sawyer (Pam); her sister Faye Mills; and her caregivers, Beverly Cox, Donna Hemby and Donna Brown. She is also survived by 6 step grandchildren and 15 step great grandchildren; and several brothers-in-laws, sister-in-laws, and special nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM at the Pinewood Memorial Park (4150 E 10th St, Greenville, NC 27858). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
