He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Noah Speagle and Mildred Lowman Speagle of Vale; and his brother Walter Richard Speagle. He is survived by: his son Robert Speagle, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Kendel Teague; his grandson Brock of Vale; his son Casey Fredell; his daughter-in-law Jessica Fredell; his grandchildren, Katelyn of Casar and Karley of Casar; his daughter Sarah Speagle of Vale; and his siblings, Nancy (Hatley Wright), Gayle Willis of Vale, Jo (Jim Smith), Rev. Ernest (Debbie Speagle) and Lorie (Dean Yancey). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
