He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bryant McMillan and Ola Caldwell McMillan; his siblings, Reeves, Bill McMillan, Tava Grada and Ruby Elam; and his children, Richard McMillan and Pamela McMillan.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Huss McMillan; his stepson Michael Isom (Jennifer) of Vale; his daughter Teresa McMillan; and his siblings-in-law, William Huss of Vale, Dan Huss of Winston Salem, Carl King of Hickory, Cindy King of Hickory, Pamela Huss of Vale and Libby Huss of Winston Salem.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Pastor's Discretionary Fund, 311 Third Avenue NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
