With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rachel Hamilton Davis of Vale, North Carolina, born in Gaston, North Carolina, who passed away on August 30, 2022 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. W. Hamilton and Notra Bivens Hamilton Roberts; her husband Aran Davis; and her siblings, Job Hamilton, Ruby Wray, Elizabeth Davis, Mary Hoyle and Connie Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Stuart Davis of Shelby, Jerry Davis of Vale, Nathan Davis of Vale, Joel Davis of Vale and Wanda Buxton of Hickory; and her sisters, Matilda Black of Cherryville, Patsy McCain of Blacksburg, SC and Lula Mae Marshall of Powee, OK. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
