He is survived by: his wife Karen Buchanan Caldwell; his children, Penny Eggers (Danny) of Morganton, Amy Sigmon (David) of Maiden and Perry Scott Caldwell (Courtney) of Lenoir; his sister Karen Fleming (Joe) of Morganton; his grandchildren, Anthony Sigmon, Hannah Lesher (Michael) and Sydney Sigmon; and his great grandchildren, Kenlea Caldwell, Hunter Lesher and Karris Caldwell.
