She was predeceased by: her father Elzie Neece (Mother Flossie); her siblings, Imogene Neece of Dante, VA, Larry Neece of Dante, VA, Wanda Neece of Dante, VA, Andrew Neece of Valdese, NC and Janice Booher of Hickory, NC; and her pet Lady "Bug" Mirtsching.
She is survived by: her son Richard "Little Richie" Mirtsching (Kayla); her husband Richard H. Mirtsching of Vale, NC.; her pet Drew of Vale, NC.; her son Jeremy Cook (Tosha); her pets, Sprocket and Diesel of Hickory, NC.; her brothers, Rick Neece (Diane) of Dante, VA and Eddie Neece (Mary) of Dante, VA.; her sisters-in-law, Diane Vicars of Dante, VA and Tina Metts (Don) of Hickory, NC; and her nieces, Mary Carol Long and Tina Asbury of Castlewood, VA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She found joy in making masks for the community during the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
