She was predeceased by: her parents, E. S. Price and Alma Estelle Pope Price; her husband Ray Helton; and her children, Wallace S. Helton and Carolyn Helton Barker.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Helton (Penny) of Morganton, Bill Helton (Peggy) of Newton, Bruce Helton (Alva) of Hayes, NC, Doris Mellon of Vale and Joyce Beard of Hickory; and her sister Laura Ann Walser of Hickory. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; thirty four great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
