She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Calvin Proctor and Essie Heafner Proctor; her husband Joel Loyd Gantt; and her siblings, Calvin Proctor, George Proctor and Eloise Stallings.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Patterson (Joey) of Shelby and Lisa McWhirter (Mark); her grandchildren, Evan Dixon (Eleni), Ethan Dixon (Samantha), Sydney Jo Patterson and Eli Patterson; her great grandchildren, Carter Dixon, Callan Dixon and Leighton Dixon; and her siblings, Pearl Barrett of Lawndale, Betty Downs of Shelby, Vance Proctor of Lawndale and Floyd Proctor (Arvalena).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home (846 E Stage Coach Trail, Lawndale, NC 28090). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel (846 E Stage Coach Trail, Lawndale, NC 28090).
