He was predeceased by: his mother Ruby Shrewsberry Rogers; his former wife Connie Rogers; and his brother Larry Rogers. He is survived by: his father Larmer Rogers; his wife Deena Rogers; his children, David Rogers, Jr. (Misty), Denise Rogers and Stephanie Cunningham; and his siblings, Mike Rogers (Kay), Barry Rogers (Sherri), Susan Rogers and Kim Rogers. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
