He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Nixon Sr. and Luvenia Propst Nixon; and his wife Barbara Ann Nixon. He is survived by: his children, Jamey Nixon of Vale, Lisa Nixon, Shawntae Nixon Whitener of Hickory and Dirk Nixon of Vale; and his siblings, Thomas Edison Nixon Jr. (Shirley) of Hickory, Alice Foster (Ralph) of Hickory, Pruella Nixon of Hickory and Evelyn Jane Nixon of Hickory. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives, and friends.
