He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Kenneth Scronce and Lizzie Kate Jarrett Scronce; his son Timothy Joe Scronce; and his siblings, Larry Bernard Scronce, Charles Cline Scronce, Bobby Lee Scronce, Doris Ann Jones and Betty Louise Cline.

He is survived by: his wife Marie Richey Scronce; his children, Eugene Kenneth Scronce (Wendy) of Hickory and Sharon Scronce Bowen of Vale; his sister Margaret Ikerd of Newton; his mother-in-law Margaret Spencer Richey of Taylorsville; and his grandchildren, Marina Bowen, Dalton Bowen, Alina Bowen, Damon Scronce and Kristen Feeback.
