He was predeceased by: his parents, Basel F. Waters and Catherine Warlick Waters; and his nephew Jared Waters. He is survived by: his daughter Diana Waters; his siblings, Alan Waters (Elizabeth) and Diane Craighead (Gordon) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Kyrstyn Roark, Bayly Trove, Owen Stout and Parker Adkins; and his nieces and nephews, Suzanna Hardin, Jethro Waters, Alisse Waters, Josiah Waters and Jenna Waters.
