She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Avery and Susie Lowery; and her siblings, Marion Lowery, Eddie Lowery and Dot Slaten.
She is survived by: her husband Paul Noel Powers; her son Chris Stines (Nicole) of Vale; her grandson Brandon Stines (Sarah) of Hickory; and her brother Benny Lowery (Audra) of Colorado Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Vernon building fund at 1156 Northbrook III School Rd, Vale, NC 28168.
