He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Heafner and Moree Heafner; and his siblings, Claude David Heafner, Jack Heafner, Margaret Ballenger, Bob Heafner, Peggy Neal, Frances Curtis, Charlie Heafner and Tommy Heafner.
He is survived by: his wife Earlene Sain Heafner; his children, Ricky Glen Heafner (Sherry), Karen Heafner Wilson (Johnny) and Pamela Heafner Houser (Shea); his grandchildren, Rebecca Gantt (Donnie), Christopher Heafner (Meghan), Rachel Chapman (Ron), Heather Deyton (Jordan), Matthew Leatherman (Jill), Kaitlyn Houser, Lily Houser and Gwendolyn Houser; his great grandchildren, Noah Gantt, Nick Gantt, Addison Gantt, Eli Deyton, Treasure Chapman, Karley Gantt and Ella Shea Chapman; his sisters, Linda Gilmore and Carolyn Canipe; and his sister-in-law Judy Heafner. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
