It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Dean Bentley of Vale, North Carolina, who passed away on July 19, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Bentley and Anna Bell South Bentley; and his siblings, Evelyn Hoyle, Larry Bentley and Keith Bentley.

He is survived by: his daughters, Belinda Cline (Steven) of Newton and Tanya Wade (Tad) of Hickory; his grandsons, Noah and Luke Cline; his sister Deborah Bentley of Wilmington; his nephew Steve Fox; and the mother of his children Brenda Bentley of Morganton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
