He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Bentley and Anna Bell South Bentley; and his siblings, Evelyn Hoyle, Larry Bentley and Keith Bentley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Belinda Cline (Steven) of Newton and Tanya Wade (Tad) of Hickory; his grandsons, Noah and Luke Cline; his sister Deborah Bentley of Wilmington; his nephew Steve Fox; and the mother of his children Brenda Bentley of Morganton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
