It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Rayford Upton of Vale, North Carolina, who passed away on August 2, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Zero Upton and Texie Ingle Upton; and his brothers, Steve Upton, Paul Upton, Harold Upton and Gene Upton.
He is survived by: his wife Della Mae Williams Upton; his children, Donald Wayne Upton (Ann) of Lincolnton, Thomas Ray Upton (Judy) of Claremont and Deborah Dianne Speagle (Ernest Speagle) of Vale; and his siblings, Kenneth Upton of Lincolnton, Roy Lee Upton of Vale and Juanita Greene of Vale. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
