She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Ross and Annie Clemons Ross; her husband Reverend Oscar Hammond; her daughters, Frances Kee and Betty Kee; and her siblings, Jessie Ross, George Ross, Gene Ross, Wardell Ross, Thurman Ross, Pauline Hill, Margaret Ross and Joann Ross.
She is survived by: her children, Annie Graham of Denver, Gladys Nance of Iron Station, Dyanne Vincent of Iron Station and Robert Burton of Iron Station; her siblings, Jerry Ross, Jr. (Marion) of Iron Station, Sammie Ross (Margaret) of Iron Station, Melvin Ray Ross (Maria) of California, Velma Bostic of Cincinnati, Clara Watson of Gastonia, Shirley Gaines of Gastonia and Verline Ross of Gastonia; and her sisters-in-law, Berthine Ross of Cornelius, Oneida Ross of Cincinnati and Evelyn Ross of Detroit, Michigan. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
