It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Douglas Gaines of Vale, North Carolina, who passed away on March 20, 2023, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Ann Haigler Beane. He is survived by: his father James Douglas Gaines (Joyce); his significant other Frances Adams; his stepfather Glenn Beane; his children, Matthew Porter, Charity Nash (Joe), Christa McCoy, Wayne Adams and Tim Adams; and his brother David Gaines (Melanie). He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
