He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Ann Haigler Beane. He is survived by: his father James Douglas Gaines (Joyce); his significant other Frances Adams; his stepfather Glenn Beane; his children, Matthew Porter, Charity Nash (Joe), Christa McCoy, Wayne Adams and Tim Adams; and his brother David Gaines (Melanie). He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
