It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Douglas Ikard of Vale, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on June 7, 2022, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Loy Ikard and Gladys Clark Ikard; and his siblings, Isaac Fountain, Howard Ikard and Deborah Hopper.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Aitkens Ikard; his daughters, Leanna Ikard of Charlotte, Leslie Ikard of Conover, Leachandra Ikard of Vale, Victoria Watkins of Vale and Carla Ikard of Newton; and his siblings, Michael Ikard of Vale and Mae Helen Shuford (Sammy) of Newton. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
