It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Parks Woodie of Valdese, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on October 16, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Parker Long and Butler Woodie Willie; his wife Rachel Baird Woodie; his sons, Marcus Lynn Woodie (Susan) and Neal Parks Woodie (Nancy); his grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Woodie Rutledge (Jay) and Brock Woodie (Jessica); his great grandchildren, Rylann, Amelia, Addison, Jack and Lawson Parks; and his brother Rodney Allen Woodie of Drexel. He was also cherished by His extended family includes many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family does request that masks be worn during the visitation and funeral services, and to please take all precautions necessary due to the pandemic.
