He was predeceased by: his father Arthur James Hildebrand; his wife Marie Hildebrand; and his siblings, Anna Lee Hart of Myrtle Huffman, J. A, Clyde Hildebrand and Bill Hildebrand.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Young (Jonathan) of Hickory, James Hildebrand of Connelly Springs and Charles Hildebrand (Cindy) of Cypress, TX; his grandchildren, Timothy Young, Marcus Young, Christian Hildebrand and Autumn Grace Hildebrand; and his parents-in-law, Jean Horton, Colleen Myers (Robert) and Ray Horton (Nancy). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winklers Grove Baptist Church at 3320 9th Ave Dr NW, Hickory, NC 28601.
