He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lovelace and Edna Carpenter Lovelace; his son Gregory Lovelace; and his grandson Hunter Starling. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Fisher Lovelace; his daughter Kim Cook (Jon) of Morganton; his stepdaughters, Crystal Starling (Michael) of Jacksonville, FL and Michele Parsons of Morganton; his siblings, Charles Lovelace (Winnie) of Maine, Joe Lovelace (Joie) of Lawndale and Carolyn Kelley (Gene) of Arizona; his grandchildren, David Cook, Temple Cook Spicer (Shawn), Tory Cook, Makaley Lovelace and Lindsey Starling; his great grandchildren, Cooper Cook, Espen Cook and Cayson Spicer; and his aunt Lucy Carpenter Burgess. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
