He is survived by: his son William Bass Sumner, Jr.; his grandchildren, Adrian Seeley, Andrew Johns and Amanda Johns; his great grandchildren, A. J. Seeley, Ayden Seeley, Alexandra Wortman and Elizabeth Barrier; and his siblings, Dwight Sumner, Jr. (Shirley) and Sue Sumner.
