She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Stephens and Beatrice Fowler Stephens; her siblings, Willard, Ernest, Jack, Dean Stephens and Louise Glasbrook; and her granddaughter Jacqueline Starnes.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Starnes of Connelly Springs and Sandra Townsend Bishop of Hickory; her grandsons, John Starnes of Conover and Matthew Townsend of Hickory; and her siblings, Margarette Polson of Camden, SC and Richard Stephens (Beth Henry) of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
