We are sad to announce that on May 5, 2020, at the age of 71, Stephen Wayne Winkler (Valdese, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Theodore Winkler. He is survived by: his mother Catherine Killian Winkler; his wife Penny Williams Winkler; his children, Krista Van Horn (Jason), Jonathan Winkler (Susan), Jason Carswell (Kris) and Justin Carswell (Kristen); his grandchildren, Payton Rooks, Noah Rooks, Amberly Van Horn, Carson Winkler, Lily Winkler, Jakob Carswell, Savanna Carswell, Declan Carswell, Oliver Carswell, Cadence Carswell, Logan Carswell and Maci Carswell; and his sister Judy Tranum (Newton). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
