She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Abernathy and Allie Bowman Abernathy; and her husband Gary Heavner. She is survived by: her daughters, Regina King (Shannon) of Hildebran and Allie Meaders (Joseph) of Anderson, SC; her brothers, Pete Abernathy (Sharon) of Valdese, Rick Abernathy of Valdese, Lynn Abernathy (Cathy) of Valdese and Alan Abernathy (Monk) of Valdese; and her grandchildren, Garrison Cook, Dalton King and Keegan Meaders. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
