He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriett Huskins English and William Wakefield English; and his wife Sibyl Harris. He is survived by: his children, Rev. Robert C. English, Jr. (Glenda) of Morganton, Rebecca Stamey of Winston Salem and Patricia Stroud (Dean) of Valdese. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great grand children, and three great great grandchildren.
