He is survived by: his grandparents, Robert Buckingham Whitney, Alyce Mae Hayden Whitney, Emmett Johnson and Sally Victoria Smith Johnson; his wife Lillie Moyers Whitney; his siblings, Alyce Victoria Russell, Richard Johnson Davis and Sarah Lonne Davis; and his nieces, Amy Danette Till, Cassandra Lonne Poe and Stephanie Nicole Poe.
