She was predeceased by: her father Jetter Shell; her sisters, Juanita Knox, Frances Jennings (Chuck) and Arda Huffman; her niece Sandy Blankenship; and her nephews, Keith Shell and Alan Vandervelde.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Adams (Jeff) and Tommy Fraley (Renee); her brother Dr. John Shell (Gertrude); her grandchildren, Ricky Hames, Jacob Hames, Chloe Hames, Bentley Fraley, Avery Fraley and Trevor Fraley; and her stepgranddaughter Sarah Adams.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Burke County Friends for Animals at 417 Kirksey Dr, Morganton, NC 28655.
