He was predeceased by: his parent Flavia Canipe; his brothers, James Canipe and Bobby Canipe; and his nephews, Robbie Canipe and Allen Canipe Those.
He is survived by: his wife Anita; his sister Susan Byrd (Neal) of Lenoir; his nieces, Shelly Brown (Brian Watson) and Kisha Canipe-Rector (Rassie); his nephew Derek Brown (Amy); his siblings-in-law, Debbie Sailors (Randy), Annette Hopper (John) and Tracy Cook (Jean); and also Anita Cook Canipe.
