He was predeceased by: his parent Lena Pons Whisenant; his sister Alma Morrow; his brother-in-law Granville Morrow; his sister Dolly Cloer; and his nephew Michael Cloer.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie; his sons, Richard B. Whisenant (Chris) of High Point and Robert B. Whisenant (Jennifer) of Hildebran; his brother Charles A. Whisenant (Josephine) of Eden; and his grandchildren, Kara Giles and Quentin Whisenant.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Waldensian Presbyterian Church, 109 Main St. E, Valdese, NC 28690 designated for the Praley Street Acre of Grace.
