He is survived by: his wife Virginia Powell Yancey Deal; and his children, Shelley Deal Roper (David) of Eads, TN, Rhonda Kelley Burleson of Morganton and Timothy James Lee Martin of Hickory. He is also survived by his six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
