She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Cannon and Lucille Hughes Cannon; and her former husband Dennis Charles Rounsavill. She is survived by: her husband Ron Poteat; her children, Emily Rounsavill Abee (Ryan) of Charlotte, Kate Rounsavill Hicks (Jon) of Concord, Jonathan Poteat of Lenoir and Robin Poteat of Hudson; her brothers, Bruce Cannon (Marianne) of Valdese and Rudy Cannon (Lucille) of Rutherford College; and her brother-in-law Bob Poteat (Sandy) of Matthews. She is also survived by nine grandchildren.
